The following are the details of Changmin Support Project
“Stand by Changmin ~With max love and wish~”

First of all, the main purpose of this plan is:
“To support Changmin’s Activities!”


Ever since Tohoshinki’s activities were suspended and the drama shooting has finished,
Changmin’s activities are limited to SM concert and some magazines. There seems to be no concrete activities in the future.
We want to convey our messages that we Japanese fans are waiting so much for Changmin’s activities.
If possible, please be active in Japan!
Or, please be active in Korea!
Let’s put our feelings into words, and send them to Changmin.

It seems that our feelings that we were waiting here in Japan so much for Changmin to be active seemed not have reached Changmin himself.
We believe that the current timing is the best to convey our feelings!


This time, the project is not for requesting Tohoshinki’s activities to resume.
Of course, we wish for their activities from the bottom of our hearts.
But if we say those words, they may be a burden for Changmin.
So, we want to support him the best we can do now.

Sorry to be late, the following are the updates of Changmin Support Project
Stand by Changmin ~With max love and wish~

I would like to inform you of the first posting of the postcards. (T/N: There will be total 3 posts, following at a later date.)
Please skip through the sentences, this is a long report.


I sent the package on July 12, 21:00, the date of the release of magazine ELLE girl.
I went to the post office, and sent the package by EMS (International Speed Post).

The outer package is like this. I used a paper bag.
Since there were many postcards, it would not fit in the EMS standard envelope. So I used a paper bag.

Inside, there is a letter to the staff, an album, and the postcards, wrapped together in the written order.

The fans in Tokyo took pains to make the album!
Since this is the first time to send out our messages, the time period was short. I think they should have gone through a lot of difficulties.
Thank you very much♪

The design of the album itself is simple and chic, just the image of Changmin today.
I pasted the logo seal. (T/N: The logo was made by the blog author especially for this project.)

This may be the most difficult part of the project.
Recently, I haven’t written handwritten letters (I am always using the mail).
And, it is in Korean, and I should not make a mistake.
I have written the sentences myself (with the help of the translation engines)
and my Korean friend checked it out for me♪

I will pick up a few sentences.

I wanted to convey our feelings that we are continuously supporting Changmin, so we have sent you the letters from the many fans living in Japan.
Can you please pass them to Changmin?
We are waiting for Changmin to be active in Japan, and also pray that his Korean activities will increase, too.
We have waited for a long time, and will also wait for his activities in the future.

[TRANS] 100716 Elle Girl - Winner of Changmin’s Autographed Polaroid Announced!

In the June Issue of Elle Girl, we had a plan to give away autographed Polaroids of Changmin. After the shoot for the August Issue, Changmin himself did the draw for the winners!


A Mountain of Postcard Applications!



For Changmin’s first appearance in Elle Girl for the June Issue, we planned the autographed Polaroid giveaway, and we received a huge response! From 12 May till now, the editorial department has been receiving postcards non-stop, and the final count was 4,793 postcards!

There were many handmade ones, and the staff were also thankful for the number of thoughtful postcards . We wanted send everyone’s feelings of passion to the man himself, so when we met him for the August issue photoshoot, we brought everything along!
　

Really Thankful for the Fans’ Thoughts!


After explaining about the postcards that were placed in front of him, “That’s Great!!” Changmin said in a very happy voice. From the postcards that had drawn images of himself, he checks the postcards one by one, occasionally breaking into an embarrassed laugh. It looked like he was happy that there were so many Japanese fans even though it has been quite a while.


Changmin hand-picks the winners


When we requested for Changmin to pick the winners, he immediately agreed! “It’s hard to only pick 3 names!” he said with a sigh. He was worried all the way, and considered really hard before he decided on the winners!

With a probability of 1,597 to 1, Changmin picked these 3 super lucky people! When asked about why he decided to pick these winners, he said “ I wanted a balance between caricatures and illustrations! But I was honestly too confused, so I don’t really know why! (Laughs)”

Everyone. Sorry for the long wait! In the ELLEgirl August issue on sale now, there's round 2 of Project Changmin in it! At the same time, backstage and other projects will continued to be uploaded online yo!


There's something regretful I have to tell you this time...... Like in the issue last time, everyone must be waiting for the video interview, but in fact something bad happened, and there's no video (tears). Right till the day before the shoot, we we're hyped up for the video, and even prepared two teams! And even though we had such a great standby like that......! However, we have many photos and backstage interviews, so please wait for those.

Well moving on, about the magazine's interview, there's quite a bit we want to supplement.


First is visual.



This time we could only use two cuts, so it was really hard to select them~. We were worrying right until the end about one picture that we didn't include, but we included it in the making page even though it was small, and yet there's also these other precious shots!

The arm's muscles somehow look manly and cool! That was what we thought, but because it covered the face, sadly it didn't get chosen. Such a casual pose too, just doing it without being requested to is really amazing!


Next is the interview.

First is "the things fans ask for don't feel real". This, is of course not because you "totally can't feel it", I gathered some statistics that would create a great reaction(online PV viewership numbers, data like that) and told him, and he was surprised by it, having a nuance and said "I didn't realise that it was that good". Then, because he was such a modest character, he spoke humbly like "no no, I'm not that good......".

For example, when there's clothes that fit him well and everyone praises him, he would go "no no, not at all", and says things like, he saw his own looks already and has no confidence.

By the way, we told Justin Bieber that "you're really popular now", and he smilingly said "Thank you!" without a hint of modesty (laughs). As expected of an American. This might be a culture difference!

Anyway, about how passionate Changmin's fans are, I told him clearly already, so please don't say saddening things like "Why didn't you tell him!!" anymore~.

Then, about the talk of him receiving energy from his family and lover, many related that to him having a girlfriend right now. From Changmin himself, he said "Although I don't have a girlfriend" purposely before answering that question, and thought of it only as a 'maybe' situation! A gentleman that thinks of his lover over his friends. Japanese men might not have this idea! Different from what we're talking about just then, Korean men are more like Westerns, I think they have a deep culture of treasuring women~. Lovely☆

Written in the making page of the magazine there's the online project of "The Ultimate Choice", and in the following week, there will be around four entries made. Look forward to each time, and please choose to have this or that! Even though there were near 20 questions, we thought he'll just answer them however, but he took the time to think through each one of them to answer us...... he's so serious! -That was what the manager said (laughs).

Without further ado, at the pace of a week, we'll continue through with Project Changmin, don't miss it!

みなさま。大変お待たせしました！　現在発売中のエルガール8月号にて、チャンミン企画第２弾やってます！　同時に舞台裏や、別企画もオンラインで 続々あげていきますＹＯ！

今回ひとつ残念なお知らせがあって……。みなさん前号のように、動画インタビューを期待していると思うんですが、実は今回ＮＧが出てしまって、動画 はありません（涙）。取材前日まで撮る気満々で、動画チームも２班出動か！ってくらいの勢いでスタンバってたのですが……！　しかし、写真とインタビュー のこぼれ話はたっくさん取ってきますので、期待しててください。

さてさて、本誌のインタビューに関して、補足したいことをいくつか。

まずはビジュアル。

今回２カットしか採用できなかったので、本当にセレクトに苦しみました～。最後まで悩んで載せられなかった写真のひとつは、本誌のメイキングページ に小さくですが載せちゃいましたが、ほかにもこんなお宝ショットが！

この手の筋がなかなか男っぽくってカッコイイ！と思ったのですが、やっぱり顔が隠れちゃってるのでもったいない、ということで落選。こんな何気ない ポージングも、リクエストしてるわけじゃなくてもやっちゃうからすごい！

そしてインタビュー。

まずは「ファンから求められていることを実感できてない」という件。これ、もちろん「まったく感じてない」というわけではなく、私がものすごい反響 というのを数字（オンラインのＰＶ数が倍増したとか、そういうデータ）で伝えたところ、それに関して驚いていて「そこまですごいってのを実感してなかっ た」というニュアンスでした。あと、やっぱり謙遜キャラなので、「いやいや自分なんて……」っていう恐縮したご様子でした。

例えば撮影中にあまりに服が似合っていてみんなで賞賛を浴びせても「いやいや全然です」ってかんじだし、前にも自分のルックスに自信ない、なんて話 をしていたし。

ちなみに、ジャスティン・ビーバーに「今本当に大人気ですよね」って伝えたら、決して謙遜なんかせずに満面の笑みで「ありがとう！」って言ってたけ どね（笑）。さすがアメリカ人。こういう文化の違いなのかも！

とにかく、いかにチャンミンファンがアツイか、ってことを、きちんと伝えておきましたので、どうか「なんで伝わってなかったの！！」って悲しまない でくださいね～。

そして、家族や恋人から元気をもらう、って話をしていたくだりは、今現在彼女がいるっていうのを連想させますが、これはチャンミン自身が「今彼女は いないんですけど」ってわざわざ前置きしてたので、もしいたら、という話だと思いますよ！　友達より恋人を優先させるって紳士的。日本人男子にはない発想 かも！　さっきの話と違って、韓国人男性は欧米に近い、女性を大切にする文化が根付いているんだなぁ、って思いました～。ステキ☆

本誌のメイキングページにもちょこっと書いているオンライン企画の「究極の選択」ですが、来週から４回連続くらいで載せていきます。どの回にガガ話 が入るかはお楽しみで、ほかにもあんなことやこんなことの選択をお願いしてます！　全部で20問近くあったのですが、ポンポンと答えてくれると思いきや、 ひとつひとつ時間かけて考えながら答えてくれて……マジメすぎ！ってマネージャーからつっこまれてました（笑）。

というわけで、今後も週１ペースで、まだまだチャンミン企画が続きますので、お見逃しなく！

[TRANS] 100711 ELLEgirl August Issue - Changmin Q&A

We meet again Changmin~
Q&A on more things we want to know.


Q: This time's theme was "night date". Where would you want to take a girl during the night?
It would be an amusement park, especially one in Japan. I want the both of us to take a ride on the cable cars at night. If it's in Korea, then it's the Seoul Tower. Not only is the night view really pretty, there's a place where couples can get locks to pledge their everlasting love. It's really romantic. By the way, I haven't put up a lock with anyone yet (laughs).

Q: It's been 2 months since your last photoshoot. How's Japan after a long break?
To me, Japan is like my other home. It doesn't feel like I'm coming to a foreign country, it's feels more like I'm traveling within my country. This period of time, recently, I've only been able to stay for two days and a night, so it's a bit sad. My luggage always takes up roughly one bag only.

Q: Your drama shooting has finished, so are you still training your body?
Since the filming ended, I've been eating a lot again and I gained some weight so I have no choice but to train. Everyday, I go to the gym, jog and lift dumbbells, working out for an hour and a half or so. The parts I want to work out the most are my calves. As a man, they're too skinny.

Q: You've been on a break, so have you been going to university?
I can't go as regularly as normal students, but I do go a bit. The coffee in the school cafeteria is really nice.

Q: Where did you watch the Korean matches for the World Cup?
To be honest, I really wanted to watch it outside while drinking beer, but because I had work, I watched it at home with Yunho, who I live with, his friends and our manager, cheering and making a total ruckus. Aside from the Korean matches, I also wanted to watch the other matches in real time, so I'm very sleep deprived (bitter laugh). But because the World Cup is a festival, I didn't feel like it was difficult at all!!

Q: Living with another man, Yunho. The pros and cons?
The bad thing is I can't stand the mess, so I have to clean up the house. It's not that I hate cleaning, but seeing a dirty house makes me frustrated (laughs). Sometimes I would joke to Yunho, "Should we stop living together?" He becomes frantic and apologises immediately. About what's good, because I'm younger, so he always pays for me when we go out. Lucky~ (laughs).

Q: "Friends", "Family", "Lover", "Work", "Myself", please rank the five of these.
Right now, I think it's "Myself" first. Recently, the way I think have changed a little...... If it's something I want to do, I devote myself to it. Next is "Family". After that I think it is "Work", "Lover" and "Friends". Even so, it might change depending on my mood that day. But, if I have to say, from these five, the ones who give me strength are family and lover. Because if I have those two, I can do my best for my job.

Q: Please give a message to all your fans in Japan!
As I'm in the midst of Korean activities now, compared to before, my activities in Japan have certainly gone down. But I feel that working in Japan is really fun, and I really want to show my various sides through activities in Japan. It might take a little while more, but I would like it if you wait for me!

Tohohshinki's Changmin - Second appearance on ELLEGirl!

Continuing on with June's highly favored "Dream Date", this time will be Changmin's second project. How were the reactions of the people around regarding the cute Changmin? The president of the company said "very refreshing, it was cool."

"This is the first time I've acted cutely so I feel really embarrassed," was what Changmin said to us. When we told him about the crazy responses for his signed photos and fans' excitement through the blog and twitter, he said "honestly, I still don't feel the reality of the Japanese fans' longing towards my activities, even until now, but when these all become evidence and are presented to me, I'll bit by bit feel "happy" and smile."

Changmin came to Japan this time as a model to shoot for a fashion magazine. In all fairness, it feels as if he has become even more perfect than the last time!

"I've also been asked by others if I practiced being a model at home, but I've really never practiced before (laugh). In a lot of photoshoots, the styles suit my habits. I think that a lot of clothes started fitting me really well after I lost weight. Maybe it's because of the way my face has visibly become smaller."

With the online section, "Beyonce or Lady Gaga, who would you date?" etc., there are a lot of extreme questions prepared for Changmin to answer. Please don't miss out on it.

Facing Ellegirl's photographer TUSI's nonsensical questions, Changmin still answers them nicely. His expression looks really attentive!!
